Privacy Policy

How SiPoint handles personal data, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data SiPoint collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling any personal data in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is Si•PoiNT Ltd, Flat 11 Telford Court, Severn Side South, Bewdley, England, DY12 2DX. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us.

What we collect

This is a static informational website with no user accounts and no e-commerce. The contact form on our front page does not send data to this website. It opens your own email application with a pre-filled message, which you choose whether to send. The website itself does not receive or store what you type.

When you visit, our hosting infrastructure automatically records limited technical information in server logs — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is standard for operating a website securely.

If you choose to email or telephone us using the details on our contact page, we will process the information you provide in order to respond to your enquiry.

Why we process it, and our lawful basis

  • Operating and securing the website — we process server-log data on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping the site available, diagnosing faults and preventing abuse.
  • Responding to enquiries — where you contact us directly, we process your details on the basis of our legitimate interests in dealing with your enquiry, or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

Cookies

This site aims to use as few cookies as possible and does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. See our Cookie Notice for details.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use reputable third parties to host and deliver this website; those providers process technical data (such as server logs) on our behalf as data processors under appropriate contractual terms. We may also disclose information where required by law.

International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it remains protected by an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep server-log data only for as long as necessary for security and operational purposes, and enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a reasonable business record.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.

This policy is provided as a general template and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on it.
